On 12/11/2013 Germany's Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof BGH) put an end to the wave of legal disputes over charging prices for train stops at passenger train stations. After more than five years of legal disputes it is now clear that the pricing system in use since 2005 is illegal.

On 12 November 2013, energy and infrastructure specialist law firm BBH held its annual conference on the topic of "Energy Transition and the Housing Industry" in cooperation with the German Federation of Housing and Real Estate Companies, (GdW Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen). Among the attendees were also representatives from the world of politics and economy, who discussed the interfaces between the energy and housing industry.

The so-called "GEMA assumption" may be subject to hot debates, but from a legal point of view, there is no way of getting around it: Anyone who publishes works created by others must disclose their authorship to GEMA, the German performance rights organisation. This has now been confirmed in the last instance by the Regional Court Frankfurt.
