Von Seiten der Politik heißt es, dass es keine 16 Energiewenden in Deutschland geben soll. Vielmehr ist die Energiewende ein nationales Projekt, an dem alle Bundesländer gemeinsam arbeiten müssen. Und doch sind nicht alle Länder gleich: Bayern, Baden-Württemberg und Hessen sind Industriestandorte mit entsprechend hohem Energiebedarf. Ausschließlich regionale Erzeugung wird diesen Bedarf in Zukunft nicht decken können. Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen und Hamburg sind Küstenländer. Dadurch profitieren sie direkt von der Nutzung der Energieerzeugung aus Windkraft. Damit das Projekt Energiewende aber bundesweit gelingt, braucht es vor allem eines: Netze.
