Our energy law expertise extends to all problems, structural tasks and disputes that the energy industry may be faced with. This includes not only the areas of electricity and gas, but also all conceivable forms of commercial heat supply. BBH provides advice on all matters relating to traditional district heating as well as local heat supply. Of course, our expertise also encompasses the area of fuels.
Our clients include, in particular, German and European energy utilities: energy producers, suppliers, buyers and grid operators, industrial companies as well as electricity and gas traders. Among our long-standing clients are also operators of (conventional and renewable) power plants, developers and investors in power plant projects, banks, commercial airports and area network operators.
Within the framework of our stakeholders group IK Stromerzeugung, we provide advice on all questions relating to energy generation. In the area of heat, we number supply companies, contracting companies, housing companies, leasing companies and service providers specialising in heat supply (metering, billing, maintenance etc.) among our clients.
Furthermore, the areas of policy advice and consultancy services to the public authorities, e.g. in relation to the development of energy concepts, are an integral part of our practice.
